Clarity: Clear Mind, Better Performance, Bigger Results Review and other recommendations
About the author
Jamie Smart founded a Neuo-Linguistic Programming (NLP) self help company named Salad which gained him a large following. Salad became one of the world's leading NLP product businesses and was sought after worldwide as one of the foremost NLP practitioners.
In 2008 Jamie Smart shifted his focus from NLP to a concept he calls "Innate thinking ®". In 2012 he sold Salad and started his own business delving into Innate thinking. His book "Clarity" is a culimination of his work and insights he has acquired over this whole process. Recognizing that while NLP is a powerful tool there is much more to change than just one piece of the puzzle.
Clarity: Clear Mind, Better Performance, Bigger Results
Innate Thinking ® and inside-outside thinking
The main takeaway that I have found in this book after reading it over the past few months (it took me a few months to finish this due to my health issues among other issues), is the idea of Innate thinking or inside outside thinking. All of us are blessed with our own personal self correcting system that brings us back to clarity of mind.
Throughout our lives though due to social conditioning and quite possibly over thinking we override this. We also use self help programs, techniques and spiritual techniques (not all are bad though) that try to correct a self correcting system and sometimes make things worse.
Many of us focus a lot of our attention externally when we should be focusing it more internally. There are a number of simple ways to go about this but a few are to simply relax and, look inward not outward and when possible meditate or reflect. This is not always easy for us all to do. I know this from my personal circumstances from dealing with Chronic Health issues.
While many might find these simple truths to be overly simplistic or even common sense, it is often the simple truths and ideas that are the most profound.
Many of us over thinking or over analyze and get stuck with a lot of superstitious thinking. While circumstances and outside forces do influence our thinking and our lives we can always choose to do something about it.
Inside-outside thinking is a realistic view of how our minds and how life really works. Many mistake out thinking as something beyond our control due to external circumstances and events.
Innate Thinking ® is our natural state when we are free (or mostly free) of our cluttered superstitious thinking and we can tap into the best of our mental (and physical) capabilities.

Review and other recommendations
I have yet to come across a book like Jamie Smart's book. I would highly recommend it to anyone especially those dealing with chronic health issues, working in a corporate/business setting. I do take issue with it though when it comes to clarity, being that I do suffer from brain fog and my health issues often prevent me from being clear or thinking clearly. I have realized though that even with brain fog though I can still take action even if unclear as to what I need to do.
The book is accompanied with several free helpful videos, pictures and downloads as well to help along your journey.
I would recommend reading this book at least twice, I think it will take at least a few read it a few times to get it all. Other books that open up your mind and help show that your mind and your perceptions create reality are also worth looking into. Paulo Coelho and Eckhart Tolle have written some books that are really helpful in this regard.
"The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho is a wonderful book on following our dreams no matter what and to keep trying, it is a short book but worth looking into as it goes along great with Jamie Smart's book. Eckhart Tolle has written "A New Earth" and "The Power of Now" in which he describes being present in the moment and being more in control of your ego. I would also highly recommend A Course in Miracles as well as you can work on it at a daily basis with that book over time to help un clutter your thinking and point you towards clarity.
Activities such as reading, listening to peaceful/classical music, doing tai chi, yoga, meditation or even just relaxing are good ways to clear up your mind as well. Many insights throughout history by noted inventors, entrepreneurs, geniuses often came in times of relaxation and not in times of being busy or doing work.
For those dealing with chronic health issues I would highly recommend "The Revolutionary Trauma Release Process: Transcend Your Toughest Times" by David Berceli. This has been helpful with for me and dealing with my chronic health issues. This book will help bring to light a lot of the concepts in Jamie Smart's book Clarity as well.
